NEW ED&I COUNCIL – CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Would you like to have an impact on advancing inclusion across the CBV community, our profession and beyond? We invite all interested Members to apply to sit on the Institute’s first ever Advisory Council for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I).

At CBV Institute, we recognize that ED&I makes good business sense. Diversity of people, backgrounds and ideas fosters motivation, enhances performance, and creates value for data-driven companies and organizations. Importantly, furthering ED&I initiatives which are in-step with the movements and change of today’s society will help support our professional commitment in the CBV Code of Ethics. As leaders in our field, it’s just the right thing to do for corporate citizenship.

We are forming an ED&I Action Plan to hold ourselves accountable. This Action Plan will be shaped with the advice and input of the new ED&I Advisory Council. Students will be welcomed to participate soon as we progress toward implementation.

CALL FOR 2022 WEBINAR PROPOSALS

CBV Institute is accepting webinar proposals from CBVs, lawyers, investment professionals and industry experts, that will offer cutting-edge content for all topics of interest to valuation professionals.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 10, 2022. Please send submissions to deborah.hanlon@cbvinstitute.com.

In order for a proposal to be considered, it must include the following information:

• Speaker Name, Organization, Address, Phone, E-mail
• Title of proposed topic containing 10 words or less
• Overview of proposed topic containing 250 words or less
• Target audience (BV, litigation, deals [M&A, PE, CF])
• Speaker biography containing 150 words or less

All respondents will be notified of accepted submissions by February 4, 2022.

CBV Institute is also interested in knowing if there any themes/topics that you would like to see addressed via webinar. Please submit your topic ideas by January 10, 2022 to deborah.hanlon@cbvinstitute.com.

Nominations are now open for Top CBV Under 40 in Memory of David Cornfield CA, CBV, recognizing an exceptional CBV on-the-rise in his or her career who has demonstrated success in a broad diversity of interests, brought distinction to the profession and embodies outstanding service. Such a CBV is inspiring not only for career accomplishment, but for realizing meaningful ways of giving-back while achieving impressive professional goals.

HALL OF HONOURS NOMINATIONS OPEN

FCBV DESIGNATION

Granting of the Fellow designation is the highest honour CBV Institute confers. The FCBV recognizes those Members who have demonstrated acknowledged achievements in the following fields of activity:

• provided distinguished service to the business valuation profession, and
• brought significant recognition to the business valuation profession.

The nomination deadline is December 1, 2021.

LIFE MEMBER DESIGNATION

The designation of Life Member is granted to Members who have attained eminence in the field of business valuation and who have retired from active practice as a business valuator.
