VIDEO RELEASED ON JOINT EXPERT ENGAGEMENTS

CBV Institute is pleased to release the third in a multi-video series on the integral role CBVs play in litigation support. Hosted by Mathieu Lapointe, CBV, M.Sc., Senior Manager at PwC, each video covers a different topic and exposes audiences to the important role that CBVs play in litigation support.

In the third video of this series, Mathieu interviews Jennifer Brownridge, CPA, CA, CBV, Director, PwC Deals, and Mike Dutka, CPA, CA, CBV, Director, PwC Deals, on the topic of joint expert mandates.

The speakers provide an overview of joint expert engagements, answering key questions such as “what is a joint expert?”, “who chooses a joint expert?”, and “what are best practices for a joint expert?”

CBV Institute is excited to share that Heather Bennett, CBV, has joined our team in the role of Senior Manager, Thought Leadership and Professional Practice.

In this role, Heather will focus on producing thought leadership and insights, interacting with subject matter experts, and staying on top of emerging trends in the business, finance, and valuation world. Heather will also assist in researching technical and practical tools and resources for members of the profession, reviewing and updating practice standards, and developing guidance and training on professional practice issues.

This new position emphasizes CBV Institute's commitment to growing the CBV brand, and to professional practice excellence, while also reinforcing our dedication to providing value to members and protecting the public interest.

2023 MQE REGISTRATION OPEN

Registration for the 2023 MQE is open. The date of the 2023 MQE is Wednesday. September 20, 2023.

All documents such as policies, mandatory course notes, past MQE booklets, and solutions are available in your CBV Institute account, on the MQE candidate tab. Once it is available, online proctoring information will also appear on your CBV account candidate page, it will be sent via email, and it will be included in an edition of CBV Matters. Students will be given the opportunity to test the online testing environment.

Ensure that you apply for any exemption(s) that you are eligible for prior to registering for the MQE. The system will not recognize that you have completed the course requirement unless you submit your exemption request.

All questions related to the MQE must be sent to MQE@cbvinstitute.com.

SUMMER 2023 TERM – REGISTRATION OPEN SOON

Registration for the Summer 2023 term opens on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. The deadline to register for the Summer term is Thursday, May 4, 2023. Please register early, late registrations will not be accepted.

IVSC ANNOUNCES REBRAND

The International Standards Valuation Council (IVSC) has recently undertaken a rebrand to better reflect the importance of the valuation profession in the modern business and finance world. The new visual identity has been developed through consultation with members, sponsors, and other valuation stakeholders and will help to further promote the profession and the important work of the IVSC.
