QUEBEC REGIONAL DIRECTOR – ONLINE VOTING OPEN

All Members whose principal place of business is in the Province of Quebec received an email from Simply Voting on April 9th at 12:01 am that included instructions on how to access their ballot and vote online. Online voting opened on April 9th at 12:01 am ET and will close on Friday, April 30th at 11:59 pm ET.

PRACTICE INSPECTION FINDINGS RELEASED

We are pleased to share the results of the second year of the Practice Inspection Program in the 2020 Practice Inspection Report. The 2020 inspections covered work products issued from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2019. Overall, the 2020 inspection results were positive; however, there were areas where compliance with applicable professional standards can be improved.

SUMMER TERM 2021 REGISTRATION OPEN SOON

Registration for the summer term opens Friday, April 16.

To register, follow these easy steps:

  1. Log in to cbvinstitute.com, go to “Become a CBV” and click “Register Now”.
  2. You will be prompted to answer some qualifying questions and provide permission to share your information with York. This is necessary since course selection is done on York's platform.
  3. You will be redirected to York’s website where you can select courses and make payments.


Within 48 hours of registration, you will receive an email from York with information on how to access the course using Moodle, and any program-related documents like course notes, student orientation guide, etc.

IVS COURSE FROM CBV INSTITUTE

Register here for CBV Institute's course on International Valuation Standards. Based on the latest version of IVS, this course was designed and created by CBVs for CBVs. The course covers what CBVs and Students should know and understand to complete IVS compliant valuations. Successful completion of the course and test entitles CBVs to 3 hours of CPD, and CBVs obtain the special notation "IVS trained" on the "Find a CBV" located at cbvinstitute.com.
