CONGRESS 2021 – DON’T MISS THIS SESSION

Climate Change & Valuation

Join us on June 16th for day 1 of CBV Congress 2021 as an expert panel explores the impacts of climate change on value, from both an investor’s and a valuator’s viewpoint. Climate change is becoming an increasingly important consideration when making investment underwriting decisions or determining the fair value of an asset for financial reporting purposes in a notional context. While disclosure frameworks exist (TCFD), there are presently no generally accepted valuation frameworks, making valuing climate change consistently a challenge. We are just beginning to wrap our minds around the possible impacts to financial markets, stock prices, and the impacts on deals, and there is no consistency across the investment or valuation community as to how the risks/opportunities associated with climate change should be considered or “priced”.
