The CBV designation demonstrates your professionalism, expertise, and commitment to lifelong learning. You should promote your designation on all branding, marketing and communications materials, such as social media, business cards, and e-signatures.

All CBVs in good standing may use the designation after their name. Use your preferred format: CBV or Chartered Business Valuator.

Examples:
Member Name, CBV
Member Name, Chartered Business Valuator

If your membership is suspended or revoked, or if you resign from membership, you are not permitted to use the CBV designation.

How to Order Your Credentials After Your Name

1. Include your academic degrees:

Start by listing the highest degree you’ve earned immediately after your name. If you have multiple degrees, you may choose to list only the highest degree you have earned as this usually eclipses previous degrees. For example, if you have earned a master’s degree and a doctoral degree, you may choose to only list the Ph.D. after your name.

2. List your professional licenses:

Next, include any licenses you currently have that your profession requires.

3. Finally, add your designations. For example:

Member name, CPA, CA, CBV
or
Member name: CFA, CBV
