AT-LARGE DIRECTOR - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

We will hold our election of Directors to the Board of Directors during our Annual Meeting of Members on June 16, 2022, in Toronto. The Governance and Nomination Committee of the Board assumes responsibility for the nomination of suitable CBVs for election to the Board of Directors in addition to Members elected in respect of a Region. This year, there is at least one At-large Director seat up for nomination by the Governance and Nomination Committee. At-large Directors serve for a three-year term.

In order to be considered by the Governance and Nomination Committee, please express your interest by following the application process detailed in the Board of Directors At-Large Position Profile by January 31, 2022.

CBV Institute’s Education Team welcomes all new and returning Students to the start of the Winter 2022 Term. All Students should have received access to course materials on Moodle – if you haven't, please reach out to itscs@yorku.ca.

The Program’s welcome webinar is scheduled for January 21, 2022 from 12pm - 1pm ET. Students should receive the meeting invite and link from York University. Please check your junk/spam folder if you did not receive the GoToWebinar link.

Webinar attendance is highly recommended. It will also be recorded and posted to Moodle course page.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR ELECTION

In our ongoing commitment to professional excellence, the Institute’s Leadership has adopted a proactive approach to recruit candidates to serve on our Board of Directors (Board). Every seat on our Board plays an important role in supporting us to meet our critical strategic goals for our future. We want to alert you now that we will be holding an election in early 2022 for the following Regions:

1. the Province of British Columbia and the Territory of Yukon (“British Columbia”),
2. the Provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and the Territories of Nunavut and Northwest Territories (“Prairies”),
3. the City of Toronto, and
4. the Provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (“Atlantic”)

MEMBERSHIP SPECIAL STATUS REMINDER

A reminder that CBVs need to submit their special status form for the upcoming membership renewal. This should be done as soon as possible.

If you're considering applying for any special membership statuses (parental leave, retiree, financial hardship, disability or education), submit your form to membership@cbvinstitute.com. Please note, if you currently are a retired member, you do NOT need to resubmit a retiree form.
