Our team carries out, among other things, forensic accounting mandates, including litigation assistance, forensic investigations, fraud and risk management, and prevention mandates and valuations.
Most of our investigative and forensic accounting engagements involve working with clients and attorneys to assess damages and loss of profit suffered by businesses as a result of litigation or business interruption.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manager will have several responsibilities, including
but not limited to:
- Working on multiple and concurrent engagements.
- Supervising and coordinating mandates under his responsibility.
- Preparing financial analysis, financial modelling, and investigative procedures in connection with various damage quantification and forensic investigation matters.
- Making sure reports and deliverables are of high quality and that Mazars quality standards are met.
- Preparing reports as an independent expert.
- Preparing and attending examination.
- Testifying as an expert.
- Acting as a well-known contact person regarding complex issues in its expertise.
- Managing, mentoring, and training of junior professionals.
- Supporting business development activities and contributing to the growth of the practice.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Adhere to the “we” over “I” focus of the collaborative
- environment within the team of Crisis and Disputes.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Be fluent in French and English.
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity.
- Possess a deep sense of detail.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, CANDIDATES MUST:
- Hold a Bachelor or advanced degree (Accounting or Finance).
- Hold the Investigative and Forensic Accountant (CA•IFA) designation or the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation.
- Have more than 7 years of professional experience, with a
- minimum of 5 years of experience in damage quantification.
- Possess an advanced level in financial modelling.
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communications skills (in French and in English).
- Possess a previous work experience with short deadlines and flexible working hours.
- Being able and willing to work in a collaborative and virtual environment with the other member of the team,
- Be recognized as an expert witness by the Court (optional, but a plus).
