James Dyack is a Calgary-based Partner with MNP’s Valuations and Litigation Support practice in Alberta. With 24 years of professional services experience in business valuations and management consulting James’ focus is on valuations and advisory services related to litigation support, tax, transactions, and financial reporting.
He has qualified as an expert witness in the Court of King’s Bench, has testified in Federal and Provincial disputes and numerous ADR matters, has provided expert evidence to the BC Utilities Commission, and has represented clients in disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency. James spent 16 years with one of the Big-4 firms in roles from senior consultant through partner across Canada in Toronto, Halifax and Calgary.
Between 2013 and 2016, James owned and operated an oilfield services and a boutique advisory firm – advising on transactions, valuations and litigation matters. James is also a professional engineer (Ontario) and was a nuclear design engineer with Atomic Energy of Canada and Babcock & Wilcox before pursuing his MBA.
