FALL 2021 COURSE EXAMS & PRACTICE QUIZZES

Students must create a profile and schedule their course exams with Examity by Friday, October 15. Students must write their exams using Examity (no exceptions).

Further, Students are encouraged to take a Practice Quiz on Examity to give them the opportunity to experience the Examity environment, including connecting to an online proctor and uploading a response file, and to familiarize Students with the Institute’s examination rules. Deadline to complete the practice quiz is October 18, 2021. Please note that Students must schedule the practice quiz at least 24 hours in advance of this deadline.

Answers to the practice quiz will be available on Moodle on Tuesday, October 19. For more information on the Practice Quiz, log into Moodle, click on “My Courses”, click on the “CICBV Practice Quiz (Fall 2021)” and go to the document “Examity Practice Quiz – Instructions”.


CALL FOR 2022 WEBINAR PROPOSALS

CBV Institute is accepting webinar proposals from CBVs, lawyers, investment professionals and industry experts, that will offer cutting-edge content for all topics of interest to valuation professionals.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 10, 2022. Please send submissions to deborah.hanlon@cbvinstitute.com.

In order for a proposal to be considered, it must include the following information:

  • Speaker Name, Organization, Address, Phone, E-mail
  • Title of proposed topic containing 10 words or less
  • Overview of proposed topic containing 250 words or less
  • Target audience (BV, litigation, deals [M&A, PE, CF])
  • Speaker biography containing 150 words or less

All respondents will be notified of accepted submissions by February 4, 2022.

CBV Institute is also interested in knowing if there any themes/topics that you would like to see addressed via webinar. Please submit your topic ideas by January 10, 2022 to deborah.hanlon@cbvinstitute.com.

Revenue Based Contingent Consideration Techniques
Join Quinn McDermid (MBA, CFA, CBV) from MNP LLP as he takes participants through:
- Discussion of the techniques we have applied as preparers and seen in reviews of the analysis of the fair value of contingent consideration with revenue based targets.
- Discussion of the identification of the need for a Monte Carlo analysis within the option pricing method (“OPM”).
