SOURCES FOR IP DATA – SURVEY SAYS…RoyaltySource, ktMine and MARKABLES are the top three resources used to gather Intellectual Property (IP) data by our Members, according to a recent survey conducted by CBV Institute. The goal of the survey was to better understand the use of, and need for, royalty rate and licensing databases as the Institute continues to explore how to offer benefits and perks to its Members on the resources and tools they use the most. Stay tuned for more content on IP valuations, a current focus of the Institute as it continues to collaborate with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). |

BV CHALLENGE REGISTRATION OPEN
The first-place team will be awarded $10,000. Second and third place will receive $5,000 and $2,500, respectively. CBV Institute will accept 25 teams into the competition; a maximum of two teams per university can participate. All participants will have the opportunity to attend a training session on October 25, 2023, to learn the basics of business valuation that can then be applied to the case study. Please consider sharing the information regarding BV Challenge 2023 found here with undergraduate students in your network. |
