SEEKING A JUDGE FOR AIM CONFERENCE

The Atkinson Professional Accounting Association at York University is hosting the AIM Conference 2025, a dynamic two-day event focused on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). This engaging conference will include a case competition, panel discussion, and career fair networking session.

We are seeking a CBV, ideally at the senior or manager level with extensive accounting expertise, to volunteer as a judge for the Case Competition. Additionally, we’re looking for another CBV to join a CBV Institute staff member at the career fair.

• Date: January 9 & 10, 2025 
• Case Competition: January 9, 2025 (1:00 - 4:00 PM ET)
• AIM Career Fair: January 10, 2025 (3:30 - 5:00 PM ET)
• Location: York University

Nominations are now open for Top CBV Under 40 in Memory of David Cornfield CA, CBV. This award recognizes an exceptional CBV on-the-rise in his or her career who has demonstrated success in a broad range of interests, brought distinction to the profession and embodies outstanding service. Such a CBV is inspiring not only for career accomplishments, but for realizing meaningful ways of giving back.

2025 MQE - CALL FOR QUESTIONS

Preparations for the 2025 MQE are under way. CBVs who wish to contribute a question for the 2025 MQE are invited to submit a one-page synopsis to CBV Institute's Education Department, at education@cbvinstitute.com, by Monday, January 6, 2025.

Selected CBVs will be invited to the 2025 MQE Authors’ Clinic (on Thursday, January 16, 2025) based in part on their synopsis.

Seeking a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to our profession? CBV Institute invites seasoned CBVs across Canada to extend their expertise as tutors for Registered Students enrolled in the CBV Program of Studies. The level of involvement is flexible with the tutoring arrangement facilitated directly between the Registered Student and tutor.
