Global M&A activity slowed in 2023 including cross-border deals between the U.S. and Canada.  This presentation will analyze M&A volume and valuation multiples in recent years and look forward to 2024.  Jon C. Doehr, Managing Director of Cascade Partners LLC (a U.S. Middle-Market Investment Banking Firm) will present data on investment into the U.S. from Canada and from the U.S. into Canada, paying particular attention to trends around types of buyers (financial, strategic, other) and investment by sectors.

This webinar will also explore the impact of recent policy decisions by the U.S. and Canadian governments on cross-border investment decisions as well as the influence of currency valuations.  In addition, we will discuss the potential outlooks for buyers and sellers in both countries, relative to both current economic trends including inflation and interest rates, and the pools of capital available for deployment.
