Direct investment in commercial real estate has been gathering pace in 2014 and is currently forecast to reach US$650 billion (an estimated 15% growth rate over 2013).  In addition, commercial real estate investment is now moving beyond the traditional, core gateway cities.  Ms. Fletcher will provide an overview of the global capital and investment trends in commercial real estate and will discuss the key drivers behind such trends.  Canada continues attract foreign investment from international investors; Ms. Fletcher will discuss how the apparent “wall of capital” is impacting the Canadian and North American market – who the buyers are and where they are focusing their investments.  Lastly, Ms. Fletcher will review how high net worth investors are impacting the global real estate landscape.
