Senior Associate – Valuation & Transaction Advisory

Segal’s Valuation & Transaction Advisory Group is focused on servicing the Canadian mid-market in a wide variety of industries. SVA supports clients’ corporate strategy by providing transaction advisory services in connection with mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance activity. Additionally, SVA provides individuals and private and public corporations with expert business valuation advice in a wide variety of contexts including tax triggers, tax planning, financial reporting, family law, transaction support and strategic decision making.

We are seeking a highly driven and well-rounded Senior Associate to join our growing Valuations and Transaction Advisory Group. As a key member of the team, this client-facing position will enable you to play a significant role in a wide range of valuation and advisory engagements, including but not limited to:

  • Managing diverse valuation engagements
  • Preparing all forms of valuation analysis and reports
  • Supporting transactional files with financial modelling and preparation of marketing documentation
  • Actively partaking in the group’s growth strategy by undertaking business development initiatives including participation in client pitches and developing relationships with external referral sources

Qualifications

  • CBV designation or enrolment in CBV program, with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • CPA or CFA would be an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; including report writing
  • Collaborative approach; demonstrate a team-player mindset and strive to deliver an exceptional client service experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage various projects concurrently and under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
