Registration is now open for the Business Valuation Challenge 2025 (BV Challenge 2025), hosted by CBV Institute. Taking place virtually on November 5–6, 2025, this national competition brings together undergraduate students from across Canada to solve a real-world business valuation case and showcase their skills to industry leaders.
The competition is open to 30 teams of two to four students from Canadian universities. Participants will benefit from a training session with a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), receive the case on October 30, and have three days to prepare their analysis. In the first round, teams will present to a panel of CBV judges, with the top six advancing to the finals the following day.
Winning teams will share $17,500 in cash prizes, with first place receiving $10,000 and complimentary registration for Level 1 of the CBV Program of Studies. Alongside the competition, students can participate in the Career Development Forum on October 29, where they will have the opportunity to connect with employers and explore career paths in business valuation.
