On June 13, 2018, Paul Gill, CBV was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for the 2018/2019 year. Paul is National Valuations Leader and Partner at BDO Canada. 

In addition, Bill Armitage, CBV was appointed Vice Chair and Scott Lawritsen, CBV was appointed Secretary/Treasurer.  Bill is a Partner in the Transaction Advisory Services Group at Ernst & Young in Toronto and Scott is a Principal at Hemens Lawritsen Valuation Group in Calgary.

The Board also welcomed two new Directors who commenced a three-year term:

• Cameron McInnis, CA, CPA, CPA (Illinois) was elected as a Lay Director. Cameron is Chief Accountant of the Ontario Securities Commission
• Luc Lafontaine, CBV was elected as Regional Director – Quebec in March 2018. Luc is a Partner in the Financial Advisory Group at Deloitte in Montreal

Derek Sanders, CBV, who previously was the Regional Director for British Columbia, was elected as a Director At-large. Derek is a Partner at Spence Valuation Group in Kelowna.
