We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our Advisory Team. Our Advisory Team specializes in delivering finance-based consulting services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Engaged in diverse and impactful projects, the team provides expertise in areas such as business valuations, financial projections, business plans, and transaction advisory. This position offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work remotely or from one of our local offices in Sudbury, North Bay, or Timmins.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare business valuations for transactions, reorganizations, and matrimonial purposes.
  • Prepare financial projections and business plans.
  • Assist with transaction-related activities such as conducting due diligence, performing working capital analyses, and liaising with key stakeholders to provide and collect relevant information.
  • Assist with the quantification of damages for legal disputes.
  • Other accounting work, such as forensic accounting for shareholder disputes, fraud allegations etc.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports related to the above.

A successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • CPA designation required.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in an accounting or valuations firm (or similar role in industry).
  • Prior experience with business valuations is an asset but not required.
  • Currently pursuing (or a demonstrated interest in pursuing) a CBV qualification, which will be fully funded by the Firm.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to convey complex financial and technical concepts in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all deliverables.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and client service.
