Our valuation team provides complete and objective valuation services for both public and private companies. We are part of a worldwide network with deep experience in a wide range of valuation issues and can be engaged to:
- Provide valuation support to our audit and tax functions such as impairment analysis, going concern analysis, valuations to support corporate restructuring, and valuations for business combination
- Provide fairness opinions and formal valuations (MI 61-101)
- Identify and value intangible assets, such as intellectual property, customer relationships, technology, trademarks/names, etc.
- Assess goodwill and long-lived asset impairment
- Provide valuations of assets and business interests for taxation purposes
- Provide extensive financial and operational research
- Research transactions of comparable businesses or properties
- Assist in the delivery of all forms of valuation reports (comprehensive, estimate, and calculation
You will work on multiple engagements delivering services to both public and privately owned clients. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing financial data
- Developing valuation models
- Reviewing accounting records
- Liaising with clients as required
- Assisting in preparation of reports and schedules
- Market analysis and researching business and financial information
- Contribute to practice growth and development activities
- Assist with other financial advisory engagements, as required
- Working with excellent client service teams
A qualified candidate will have the following:
- Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials
- CBV designation, or in final stages of completion, preferred
- CFA or Masters in Finance would be an asset
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to deliver all valuation related services
- Strong external consulting or advisory experience
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities – Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team.
