Business Valuation Associate / Senior Associate

Lynch & Associates is a boutique forensic accounting and business valuation firm based in Toronto, Ontario, specializing in personal injury litigation support, economic loss quantification, accident benefit quantification, fraud examinations, forensic accounting, and business valuation.

Our assignments involve a broad range of matters including personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, fraud investigations, matrimonial disputes, and business valuation engagements.

We are currently seeking a full-time Business Valuation Associate / Senior Associate with a strong business valuation background and a genuine interest in forensic accounting and litigation support. This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, exposure to complex files, and direct involvement in high-level assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting business valuation reports and related deliverables
  • Manage and complete business valuation and litigation support assignments
  • Analyze accounting records and corporate/personal financial information
  • Perform financial analysis related to shareholder disputes, matrimonial matters, and allegations of financial misconduct
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and critique of economic loss quantification reports
  • Conduct industry, market, and economic research
  • Communicate with clients, lawyers, and other professionals involved in engagements
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise related to valuation and forensic accounting engagements

Qualification Requirements

  • CBV designation required
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time business valuation experience required
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
  • CPA and/or CFE designation considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
