The Forensic Accounting Management Group (FAMG), a unit within Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Departmental Oversight Branch, is looking for forensic accountants within the GTA.
FAMG provides specialized forensic accounting services to municipal, provincial, federal and international governments, law enforcement agencies and prosecution services. Our services are used in criminal investigations with financial elements such as proceeds of crime, commercial crime, money laundering, securities market fraud, organized crime, and terrorist financing activities.
At FAMG, our people are highly trained forensic accountants who offer specialized advice, prepare expert reports, and potentially provide testimony on complex cases for a wide range of client investigations. Within the operations of FAMG, it is at this level that the bulk of the workload is discharged and executed.
Interested candidates must:
- possess a recognized professional accounting designation CPA, (CA, CMA, or CGA)
- have experience in the compilation and analysis of various accounting, banking and financial information
- have experience in conducting financial analysis involving computations
- have experience in producing or providing significant contributions towards the preparation of accounting reports
- have experience planning and conducting professional forensic accounting or audit engagements
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the securities industry.
